Product Purpose
In daily software engineering, design, and technical writing, optimizing images is often unnecessarily fragmented. Writers and developers constantly jump between web compressors, manual resize utilities, and separate image-hosting clients. Meanwhile, uploading unreleased product mockups or sensitive contracts to third-party cloud servers introduces privacy risks and network delays.
TinyOwl focuses on a clean solution: harness the multi-core local compute of modern Apple Silicon Macs (M1 or newer) to keep compression strictly on-device, while unifying resizing, modern format encoding (WebP/AVIF), and optional cloud storage delivery into seamless, reusable desktop workflows.

TinyOwl is independently developed by Viking Zhang (vikingmute), an independent Mac indie developer.
